With Jin and J-Hope recently completing their mandatory military service, ARMYs worldwide are eagerly anticipating the discharge dates of the remaining BTS members. South Korea requires all able-bodied men to serve in the military for approximately 18–21 months, depending on their assigned branch. Here, we will provide a detailed breakdown of when RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are expected to complete their service and reunite as a group.

1. RM and V – Expected Discharge in June 2025

Both RM and V enlisted in the military on December 11, 2023. RM, the leader of BTS, joined the army as an active-duty soldier, while V enlisted in the Special Task Force of the Republic of Korea Army’s Capital Defense Command. This elite unit requires rigorous training and physical endurance.

Based on the standard military service duration, RM and V are expected to be discharged in June 2025. Their return will mark a significant moment for BTS fans, as both members have actively contributed to the group’s leadership and musical direction.

2. Jimin and Jungkook – Expected Discharge in June 2025

Jimin and Jungkook also enlisted together on December 12, 2023, following RM and V. Like RM, they are serving as active-duty soldiers. Jungkook, the youngest member of BTS (the "Golden Maknae"), has impressed fans with his dedication and strong sense of responsibility, while Jimin’s enlistment was met with heartfelt messages from fans.

Since their enlistment dates are only a day apart from RM and V, their estimated discharge date is also June 2025. This means that by mid-2025, four members—RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook—will have completed their service, leaving only Suga.

3. Suga – Expected Discharge in June 2025

Unlike the other members, Suga was assigned to alternative service instead of active duty due to a shoulder injury he sustained before BTS's debut. He began his service as a social service worker on September 22, 2023. This type of service typically lasts around 21 months, which means Suga is expected to be discharged in June 2025, around the same time as RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook.

Although Suga's role differs from the others, he is still fulfilling his military duty and will return to BTS activities alongside the rest of the group in mid-2025.
